So Hill Billy Stew turned 5 years old this month.

So with that, I bring you some updated information on the new Autumn Picture release(s).  That is correct, plural.  3 of 'em.

Autumn Picture - DIGITAL ep FREE

* The first release going to be a FREE! digital ep. This will be released probably in the next week and will have a couple old songs and lots of new material! 7 tracks total.

Autumn Picture - The Field cd (09.30.08)

* It turns out that we will be releasing the new Autumn Picture full length CD titled 'The Field'.  This is Hubert's follow up to the well received 2003 fait maison.   Right now Hubert & Nick @ Daygristle Screens are working out the layout for the release which will include hand-screened art on 100% recycled cardboard digi-pack-ish. This is going to be a limited edition of just 500 copies hand numbered. You can now PREORDER this from our catalog section.

Autumn Picture / tba split 7"

* Shortly after the cd drops, or should i say rise to the top of the charts, we will be releasing the Autumn Picture split 7".  I will resist telling you the additional artist as we are still working out the details.  At this point it looks like it will be a limited edition 7" (500) on white vinyl, hand numbered, and super sexy artwork.

I will be setting up pre-order page in the next few days for all these releases.

While we updating you on Autumn Picture, I can also share some additional projects that Hubert has been working on as of late.  MILANKU (think a much more aggressive Blacktop Cadence) is a post-hardcore band who will also be releasing a CD in the next couple months.  And you can also check out his instrumental experiment little.smart.driver.

June 1st

Our two year hiatus is over!  Look for a new release or two before the end of the year!

In case you haven't checked out the new Autumn Picture tracks, you're missing out on ALOT. www.myspace.com/autumnpicture The new album is completely recorded and mixed. So it should be in your hands by Fall of this year I would imagine.

Also in Autumn Picture news. We should be releasing a limited split 7" w/Autumn Picture and a yet to be announced band. It's going to have an unreleased track on the 7". This is still in the birthing stages, though the song is recorded and very impressive. The song is called 'old man' and features guest vocals with HUGO of 'yesterday's ring'. We probably will stream the track when the release date gets closer.

54 Sq. Ft. Trampoline has posted two new tracks from their upcoming release on their space page.  If you slept on their first CD, i recommend searching it out on our releases page.

GHOST MICE / SAW WHEEL - It's hard to believe but next month marks the five year anniversary of their split CD. (That means it also marks the 5 year anniversary of Hill Billy Stew Records.) This was both the Ghost Mice and Saw Wheel's first proper release. They have decided to re-record the entire CD and it's being released on NO IDEA!

I still have a some copies of the original pressing in stock, so grab 'em while they are still around. If you didn't see the Alternative Press article on Folk Punk, they named Ghost Mice in the top 10 must hear folk punk bands.

UPHOLLOW I'm not sure what UPHOLLOW is up to. From what i can gather Ian Cooke is staying busy supporting his release 'The Fall I Fell' and the rest of the boys are supporting musicians for his band.  In addition to that I know that Ian O. is recording some solo material and playing with his 80's metal band (feat. member of Gamits & Drag the River).  I think the name is 'ON HIGH'.  i'm not sure on any other details about that band.

If you are not familiar with Denver's UPHOLLOW, they have been around for 12+ years and are quite a talented bunch of musicians pushing the envelope with each new release, check out their myspace.com/uphollow ....'jackets for the trip' CD/DVD is available on our release page for a VERY affordable price featuring a surround sound mix to all the songs on the DVD as well as video collages. quite the experience.

If you want to buy using paypal, please email from this site first so i can give you the paypal email address to send it to. Thanx
